Terms & Conditions

By contacting RH Painting, requesting an estimate, or scheduling work, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all communications, estimates, and painting services provided by RH Painting (CA Contractor License #1144762).

All estimates are provided free of charge and are based on the information you share and the conditions visible at the time of the estimate. Written quotes are valid for 30 days. Final pricing may change if the scope changes, or if additional damage or conditions are found that were not visible at the time of the estimate. Any changes requested after work begins will be documented and may result in a revised quote.

We make every effort to begin and complete work on the dates we agree to. Weather, material availability, and unforeseen site conditions may occasionally require rescheduling. If you need to reschedule or cancel, we ask for at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice, or no-shows on a scheduled start date, may incur a $100 call-out fee.

Payment terms are agreed in writing for each project before work begins. Depending on the size and scope of the job, this may involve a deposit, progress payments during the project, or payment on completion. We accept cash and check. A fee may apply to returned checks.

We take pride in our preparation and application, and we stand behind the work we do. If a finish fails in a way that appears to result from how it was applied, contact us. We will come look at it and discuss how to make it right.

We do not offer a formal written warranty with a fixed term. Workmanship concerns are handled individually, based on the project, the conditions, and what we find on inspection.

This does not extend to moisture intrusion, structural movement, acts of nature, normal wear and tear, damage occurring after completion, or surfaces we did not prepare or paint.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RH Painting shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from services performed. Our total liability for any claim related to our work is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific project that gave rise to the claim. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, hidden defects, or damage to surfaces we were not contracted to prepare or paint.

By providing your phone number and checking the applicable consent box on our contact form, you may agree to receive text messages from RH Painting. We offer two separate consent options:

Service messages: These include estimates, appointment updates, project inquiries, and other service-related communications.

Promotional/marketing messages: These include special offers, discounts, promotions, and service updates.

Consent to receive marketing messages is not required as a condition of purchasing any services from RH Painting. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP. We will never sell your contact information, and SMS consent is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

We respect your privacy. The personal information you share — name, phone, email, and address — is used solely to respond to your inquiry, prepare an estimate, and communicate about your project. We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page, and the date of the latest revision will be noted below. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from services provided by RH Painting shall be resolved in the courts located in Monterey County, California.
